Save the Salton Sea
The Salton Sea is shrinking. As the water recedes, it exposes toxic dust that is carried by the wind for miles, harming the respiratory health of the 650,000 people living closest to the sea. The smaller sea also means the loss of critical migratory bird habitat and missed opportunities for wildlife conservation, recreation, and economic growth.
The Salton Sea is a rapidly worsening environmental and public health crisis. Sign this petition and add your name to the list of people publicly calling on government leaders to make saving the Salton Sea a top priority.
“Everyone has the right to live, grow and raise their children in a community where there are no environmental or health hazards.” — Conchita Pozar, North Shore resident
